Full Time Director of Safety – The Zero Company has employed a full-time Safety/Loss Director who is responsible for: Federal Compliance by OSHA, EPA & DOT, Jobsite Safety, Pre-planning Safety for Projects, Safety training, Loss Management, Drug Free Workplace Program and BWC Claims Management.

OSHA 30-Hour Competent Person Training – Each Supervisor within our company (Foreman, Superintendent and Operations Management) have completed this course by our own Authorized OSHA trainer.

Safety Training – Multiple trainings are given to each employee, they include:

• New Hire Orientation – Each “perspective” employee of the Zero Company receives a 4-hour Safety Course UPON hire.
  
  
• Toolbox Talks – Toolbox safety talks are given by a member of our management team.
  
  
• Safety Days – Bi-Annually, the Zero Company shuts down its normal operations to bring in all field employees for an 8-hour safety training day. This class is presented by various instructors on various safety related topics.

Drug Free Workplace Program – The Zero Company is registered through the Ohio BWC as a DFWP participant. We are committed to providing safe, “drug-free” projects for our customers, contractors and employees. Therefore, the decision was made in September 2002 to become apart of BWC’s DFWP.
